I Remember!

I remember the cold!
I remember trying to fold,
Myself so the chill would not hold,
I remember that evening,
When i spent the time knocking,
And desperatly expecting,
To hear the door opening!

I remember the headaches!
I remember the pain of the back-aches,
I remember ....

I remember them coming,
At me so hard and yelling,
Telling and pointing,
Kicking and accusing,
I remember them breaking,
My ribs like nothing!

I remember the hunger,
I remember the anger,
That came with it and the danger,
Of starving yet,
I was working...
My ass out so you could eat something!

I remember you doubt me,
I remember you leaving me,
I had done my best...
I had told the rest
Of the story and yet,
You opened that door and left!

I remember the pain,
I remember my brain...
Leaving me
I remember the drain,
Of my powers
Leaving my body
That could not contain,

I remember the sun,
In the desert
Burning me more than,
I remember our son,
I wonder if i can,
Not remember!
