The Path

By: Peter Kivuti.

It is unsure of it pursuer,
But definitely the doer,
The one that will…
See it,
Feel it
Step on it…
…him know it
But unsure of it,
And its mysterious result.

Its dusty,
A bit rough,
Around the corner, the hill is tough,
Downhill also is tricky enough,
It’s funny this stuff,
We are in-
-that we walk this path,
Un-acquainted with it!

It is covered by tarmac also,
Smooth just as they said so,
Straight ahead facing my torso,
Meandering, winding, finding-
-bends, corners, curves, geometry
In the art of travel
Even the rubber is engaged
To the gravel beneath
An uncompromised union,
Through to oblivion,
Destiny rests on an opinion-
-then the vision!

This one is not there,
There is foliage everywhere,
Verily I would swear,
Another before passed through here,
And ended up there, somewhere,
Where are you
On this PATH!
