My Knees on Concrete.

My knees are on concrete,
So palms meet,
then eyes shut,
My lips begin to move,

In my mind there is a sudden whoosh!
Inside me I am seeking the words,
So my brain begins,
Sending the palpitations
To my mouth,

My lips are moving,
My vocal codes
Encoding the signals from my mind,
Everything else I push behind,
And I begin to unwind
Before my Father in heaven,

I pray for you to be well,
I pray for them too,
That they will not yell
In the pain of no gain,
But their hearts will obtain,
What their desires contain

I beg with my knees on concrete,
That peace be all we meet,
That we step with our feet,
In areas complete
That our stores never deplete

For these young ones I pray
For role models everyday
That they will listen as the elders say
Live a life to obey
That Morals will never decay

My knees are on concrete

As I pray!
