THESE VILE CREATURES

They come as creatures in the night,
their stealth and charm will cause you harm,
these ones lift your spirit up like a kite,
then stop blowing, letting you plummet
like a celestial body from out of space,
until your light shuts off!

the venom is in the mind,
poison in the tongue
disease between teeth,
words of blunder full of plunder,
spoken carelessly,
beautifully packaged!

water for the thirsty
wine poured for the greedy,
abusing the meticulous brewing!
the times of moil and toil
these cannot rest until your covered in soil!

eyes dancing this way,
eyes darting that way,
they cannot look you straight,
so they look you down,
your effort to them, is a discomfort

colonialists!
competing in a phantom competition,
dictators full of themselves,
they cannot see it,
their blindness,
lead them to grope in the dark,
so they steal your light...
leaving you naked and stark!
